Backlinks are incoming links (as they link back to you). Links going out to a page (external links) are known as outgoing links. However, the outgoing link from your website is classed as a backlink to the external webpage you are linking to&#8230;<em>bit of a brain twister<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:45px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Is Classed as a &#8216;Good&#8217; Backlink?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8216;Good&#8217; backlinks should be relevant to your website&#8217;s subject matter, as well as authoritative. Meaning the external website itself has a substantial amount of relevant backlinks linking to itself and is seen as an authoritative source of information in Google&#8217;s eyes.
